What's the difference?

The Jackall has a good reputation here in the UK. Personally, I prefer it to the similarly priced Hilift, as it seems to work slightly more reliably when dirty.

Like most of the other posters to this thread, I'd prefer not to buy an unknown brand, because of the consequences of the thing failing. The absolute cost difference is small, in the scheme of things.

Yeah I think I'll just pick up the Hi-Lift brand. I figure for an extra $30 it'll save me from kickin my own but out on the trail someday. I was just wonderin what you guys thought.

darton sorry i didnt get back to ya on a reply... i dont know what the cheaper jack is other than its not a hi lift. you can clearly see a non removable handle in the fuzzy pic, that alone is worth passing on for me as i have used the hi lift handle for quite a few other things. plus who knows the quality of steel in the locking pins and other important bits that make the whole thing work.
