Where to purchase M-416?

Hey guys....

Been looking hard at adventure trailers to tow behind my 4-runner.
I really like the AT Chaser but the cost is prohibitive at present.
Since I don't weld and can't build my own trailer from scratch, I've been looking at
the military trailers to refurbish.

My needs:

Secure stowage for my camping gear
RTT mounted on top of the trailer
Able to store in my garage
Easily towed by my 6cyl 4-Runner

So my first question is where do I look for decent used M-416 models? I live in the Denver area. Also, what issues with the trailers should be "deal breakers"?
What is a reasonable price to pay for a model in fair to good condition?

I look forward to your responses and I'll continue to review the threads on M-416
build-ups to garner more info. Thanks....

They are getting harder and harder to find in Colorado. I ended up with one I found on Craigslist in Colorado Springs. I had to pay $1100 for it and it was not in great shape, which was OK because I planned on totally rebuilding it. No real deal breakers except make sure it has paperwork: CO DMV makes it impossible if you don't have at least a title to transfer.
Keep your eye on CL and on Ebay. The best deals are when you drive around and see one in someone's yard and make an offer. Also, various jeep forums occasionally list them but usually out of state. None of the military surplus outfits in this area seem to ever get any, and if they do they want $$$$$ for them. Good luck...when you do finally get one you'll love it!

Good luck to another fellow coloradian looking for a 416. There are some out there but usually far away or beat to hell. I know coldwarremarketing.com in your area has a 416 for $1,500. It even has a fiberglass top on it but its a little ragged for the price but like vince mentioned, it has all the paper work for it for an easy transaction.

Look for a CDN M101 also. It is basically Identical to the M416. Different fram design but just as good. They can be a little easier to find. After searching for almost 4 years I landed on an almost brand new CDN M101. Paid only $750 for it. Good luck!!

I actually prefer a CDN M101! I like the tub a lot more. If you find another let me know! I search day and night all day lol

Look everywhere!!!
My father-n-law bought a bantom off craigslist for $800
A week later I looked over a fence and saw a 416
Talked to the farmer and brought it home in 2 trips for a 18 pack of beer
