Which one would you get?

So I have a unique opportunity before me. I just relocated to Naples Italy and will return to the States in a few years. At that time I can bring back one vehicle with me. So this begs the question, which one? I have been thinking about a Pajero or Trooper or a Crusier, each a turbo diesel of course. Need help in identifying the different models of each, which options to look for and if anyone knows where to get one in good shape. Any help would be apprecieated.

Personally I would choose the vehicle I could sell for the most $$$$$.
I would then buy my choice of what is available locally and pocket the balance. Which is not what you want to hear.:coffeedrink:

Applejack, nice one hadn't thought of that one (my wife thanks you as well:Wow1:)

Desolation, had thought of that one but if I can make this work I would likely keep it for a while but still a good idea.

Mauricio 28, that would be a cool one. Will consider it.

I should also mention that I think I need to keep it 25 years old or older to avoid federal regs hassle.
Thanks and keep em coming.

Lots of people who read this forum think the 70 series Land Cruiser
with diesel engine is the ultimate adventure travel vehicle. The 70
series was first manufactured in 1984, more than 25 years ago. The
Troop Carrier (SUV) and Ute (cab/chassis) forms are more desirable
(in my opinion) than the short wheelbase 3 door models, some of
which were built with light duty HiLux components.

Production of the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen started in 1979, so they
also qualify for the USA Department of Transportation exemptions, too.
I like the four door SUV and two door, long wheelbase work truck.
