pull of the driver and passenger side carpets and inspect the floorpans. if they are only lightly rusted then it's probably nothing that can't be repaired.

edit: that's a great color! not too many like it ...

fwiw.

well, just got back giving it a good check, i lifted all the rugs and there is no rust at all, only 1 spot in each of the lower end of the back doors. And the rear glass door frame. The engine seems great and the transmision shifts smoothly, no overheating issues, when I checked the oil (knob where you pour oil in) i did notice a little slush, transmision oil looks good. Undercarriage and chassis are rust free and fairly clean. What should I expect for mpg? 13 to 15?
Really appreciate your comments

The 1994 RRC LWB is a horrible vehicle. You should definitely pass on it.

Anyone know shipping costs from PR to California?

I'm kidding of course. Well, sort of...

I purchased my 94 LWB in 2001 and haven't looked back. Before I started messing w/ it I could pull 14mpg (w/ a tail wind of course). These day's it's 11mpg on 91OCT.

Buy it!

I loved my '94 LWB. it was a great truck - i parted with it too soon. I'd jump all over it. Good examples of these are getting really hard to come by.

Greetings from over the pond. Nice RRC. To be honest it really doesn't look THAT bad, believe me ive had LOTS worse, and as for corrosion! Right, here we go. 1) rust will appear on ALL Land-rovers of this age. 2) Especially check upper glass frame on rear as this is a major proble area. 3) As are inner wings, sills, rear arches. 4) disconnect heater, unless its got A/C. 5) If you plan to use off road, waterproof ALL under bonnet electrics ESPECIALLY plugs and distributer. 6) ENJOY!

thanks for the heads up on waterproofing, it does have A/C, and I plan to use it as a daily driver once all the ghost are out :)

also plan on doing some camping here in PR, no hardcore offroading, just enough to get to the campsite, our island is 110 miles by 25 miles wide, so my daily comute is nothing compare to the US side. I travel far for our standards daily, and I drive on a average of 50 miles daily.

thanks!

Dan
