Wiring reverse lights for trailer that are also camp lights?

Can anybody tell me how to wire some auxilliary reverse lights that work with the tow vehicle trailer plug that can also be wired to the trailer battery with a switch to be used at camp? Not sure if it is possible, but it seems useful on cutting down how many lights I install.

I am planning the same thing, I have rock lights that I want to turn on via a switch and also when I put the truck in reverse.

This is how I plan on doing it, but I am open to other ideas.

Note: using all LEDs so a high amp toggle switch should work fine.

Its as easy as connect the lamps via your favourite switch to a fused output from your trailer battery.
If its switched on whilst plugged into your car, the car reverse lamps will illuminate also.
From there, depending on specifics of the car & if it happens to be in reverse gear, it may cause a number of other circuits within the car such as radio, wipers, ignition, etc. to become energised.

I just finished mine using the same method. I just unplug the seven way before I turn it on.
