WK2 with Hardshell RTT (Autohome, James Baroud, etc.)

Observer
I'm currently considering a 2017 GC Trailhawk, but I'm concerned I won't be able to run a hardshell RTT on it. I'm coming from a built 100 series Land Cruiser with an Autohome Airtop, which I recently sold. For various reasons I no longer do any real overlanding, but I was using my 100 series for camping. Of course it was overkill and that's why I sold it.

Anyway, I plan to purchase a James Baroud Discovery, so the vehicle I purchase must be able to accommodate it. My concern with the WK2 is the rear hatch opening and the short roof rails. The only picture I've seen online is one in Australia, but it has an aftermarket roof rack which I don't want. I would like to use Yakima or Thule crossbars to mount the RTT.

Road tripping, overlanding
The Thule or Yakima cross bars are not strong enough. Invest in a Gobi rack. A front runner rack looks good too.

A Uneek rack should work well too. Gobi makes a great rack but on the pricey side. Uneek may cost less, not sure.
