Irish_11 - ToyotaUSA and Canada, did not import the 70 Series into the states. You are going to have to import one from South America, Europe, South Africa. Beware that some U.S. won't license a Right-hand Drive Vehicle... I have an 88 62Series, with Auto and Gas, Where if I had had the choice - I would have bought the Turbo Diesel and 5 speed, BUT wasn't available in the states. I have pined for the Turbo Diesel Double Cab 78/9 series truck, but they are under 25 years old. David

In 1990 I pined for a rust free diesel J40, so I imported one from Japan. Also imported and drove, beat really, a rhd 60 for 8 years.

I've imported a few 70s with 1HD TD for others, these are always in demand but the rust free high mileage examples over 20 plus years old can be landed for just under 10K cdn. And yep rhd, which is fine Imo with 4x4, low slung sports cars is a different story.

I might be posting my 1986 HJ61 12ht 5spd LHD for sale shortly. Still on the fence. Hit me up if interested and we'll go from there. I haven't posted in anywhere. Bought it from a well known member on ih8mud in April this year. It was imported about 3 years ago through Land Cruiser Restorations in Kansas City by the 1st US owner in WI. It's currently titled and registered in NV (Vegas). Clear and clean title in-hand.
