XC's KTM 525 EXC

Well I've had the bike for a short time and so far so good. I've put a couple hundred miles on it since taking it home and it rides well. I'm used to endurance mountain biking so I compare it to that but a little softer and a lot faster at times. All the original parts came with it as it's been converted to SuperMoto which is actually a little better than I thought MPG wise. Anyhow a slow build in progress, larger tank, some soft luggage nothing major really!

That's a damned fine looking machine. Put it through it's paces yet?

I've been lusting after a 640 and a 990 for a while now... :bike_rider:

Ohhhh yes the 640 is on my radar and will be the next bike purchased, crazedlist has been very helpful in tracking a few down. I've turned a few away because of this or that but riding alone is only going to work for so long. The 525 is fun with the SM setup, and reminds me of a long travel mountain bike with grace and speed. It's not the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden but the stock seat is worse.... and I'm used to the abuse so I think it will work.
