XJ fuse/relay question

I have a 00XJ for my daughter with an intermittant turn signal problem so I suspect its the flasher relay. My problem is that I cannot discern which one it is in the passenger side kick panel. The manual says there is a diagram on the back of the kick panel cover and the kick panel cover refers back to the manual....only in a Jeep

If someone can tell me where this flasher is, it would be appreciated. Thanx.

Robert, if the 00 is like the earlier models the relays are located under the hood in power dist box on passenger side. There you should see a diagram under lid. I hope....

Typically only fuses would be in passenger compartment.

XJ's are notorious for the turn signal switch going bad. I had mine replaced under warranty years ago. It was intermittent and would not work for left turns. I am looking up the rely in the FSM now and I will get back with you on the location if I can find it.

The combination flasher is located in a wire harness connector which is secured to the diagnostics splice block bracket outboard of the steering column opening underneath the instrument panel. The combination flasher cannot be repaired or adjusted and, if faulty or damaged, it must be replaced.

That sounds nasty. Sent you a PM.

So its like almost in the same place as the TJ? Yuck. We had to solder something in that area for our LED tail lights... make sense.
