Just picked up a new-to-me 2018 y62 Armada SL.
This is going to be my daily driver, and will be used to tow my new travel trailer. There’s not much off-roading to be done out here in Indiana, so I don’t want to get crazy with anything.
That being said, I do want to stiffen up the ride to be less floaty and better for towing. I’ve found SRN’s spring chart which is amazing, but only lists free length and not installed height. I’m not looking for any lift, or 1” maximum if any.
So my questions:
1) do the Moog 81085 give any lift on the Y62, or does it retain stock height with a higher spring rate?
2) I’ve seen rumors that OEM Patrol springs are about 1” higher and with a higher spring rate. Has anyone swapped OEM Patrol springs, or only lift springs?
3) Clarification on front control arms. I’ve seen that Titan arms add spring clearance, is this true on the Y62? Looking for confirmation…
4) unrelated, but does anyone have a recommendation for a trailer brake controller?
