Yaesu 7800/Uniden CB mounting in 2000 Tacoma

I have seen other threads where others have asked where the best place is to mount their radios. Here is what I have and it works well for me.

I have the Yaesu mounted on the supplied bracket and have it screwed in to the rear of the center console so I can still hear the speaker pretty well. I had an open slot under the AM/FM radio covered with a little panel and all I did was zip-tie the face plate to it and then popped it back into the place. The little cover was flexible enough to snap back on with the ties in place.
As for the CB, I removed the ash tray and slid the CB unit into the open slot and zip tied it securely in place through some of the holes in the molding/slot area.

Radio mounting

Nice job on the install. Here is what I mounted in the Tundra.By rear view mirror VHF 110 watt 128 radio,on the lower mount a motorola dek system runs off road lights, compresor, second battery, map light, and other systems on the truck.next down is a motorola 800 mgz 128 ch radio, then a 110 watt lowband 128 ch radio then a Yeasu ft8900r ham radio. I think I have the spectrum covered.http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/RichardDCollier/DSC01001.jpg http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t270/RichardDCollier/DSC01000.jpg
