Gary,

The part number is: RAM-A-101U-237

And I got it here: http://www.gpscity.com/search-ram-a-101u-237/c=all

That would be a sweet spot to install it on the Taco.

The home dj boards dont handle regular mobile use to well, I would hate to see on on a trail rig. Here is a proper solution. http://www.fleetradioproducts.com/htm/model201.htm

You can also link a single speaker to multi radio using 70v transformers back to back.
That makes sense, although DJ equipment would strike me as pretty rugged. Still they don't expect it to be all the cold or hot, wet or anything like that. Also would seem to be bulky for what it'll be used to do.

That Fleet Radio product is $150. It's an active speaker amp, but still that strikes me as a lot of money. It would be pretty easy to rig up a passive 2-into-1 mixer with a couple of 20K resistors and a couple of 20K pots. Heck just making a 2-way active mixer would be easy and cost about $5 in parts (a couple of 2N3904s and a handful of resistors) and another $20 for a watertight box. Like you say, using a bunch of isolation transformers would work just fine, too.

$150 ws more then I thought It would take. Dave in Denver your idea sounds interesting but a little over my head, so much other wiring to do. What kinda speakers would work with the 276c? I like to use an external speaker with my hard wired GPS. Can I use one speaker for the HAM and the CB. with just a switch and adjusting volume at each radio?
I love the interent before I would have broken a few things to find the answer to these questions.
