No, we do more like 30-40,000 per year. We've done 50 in less than 2 years, and last year Tina wasn't working.
Where we are here, we get more snow, and not much ice. Tends to be wet, slushy, heavy snow. Black ice almost never happens. The only real risk we have for ice is when we go to Ottawa. I can manage that with non-ice tires. Tread really is what I need, some place for heavy, warm, wet snow to go. And the roads are clear most of the time. Might be driving on snow twice a week from Dec-Mar.
As I write that, it makes me realize, the A/T's really do make a lot of sense.
That's why I liked the Wintersport M3's so much. You gave up nothing when the road was clear. I don't need Blizzaks, that's for sure.
