Zodi Portable Shower

I'm about to invest in one, specifically a two burner model.

Anyone use or have used a Zodi shower product and care to share your experiences ?

I'm wondering about ease of use, durability, and if the unit works as well as advertised.

Input?

hey john i will tell you...you probably do not need the 2 burner model. that is the model i have and i only needed the 1 burner, by the way they work great!!!

I got the 1 burner last fall for a Moab trip, works as advertised, even had to turn it down a little as water was getting to hot. I got the one that came in the red hard plastic case, no problems in 3 trips so far. The wife especially loves it.

John, I've tested all the Zodi products for various magazines, and all worked exactly as advertised. The one I kept was the single burner model with the manual pump reservoir that looks like an insecticide sprayer. Simple and effective, and no battery power needed. But they all work great.

I got the Zodi single burner...the bugsprayer type.

A la "elCoyote" I replaced the stock hose & el cheapo nozzle with a shower sprayer hose and nozzle (or whatever you call it). It looks like a simple replacement unit for a kitchen sink hose/sprayer.

It's a better spray pattern and doesn't spray unless you squeeze the lever on the handle.

I'll be trying it out this weekend...:camping:

Here's Mario's unit...

Jonathan, Ed...what's the fluid capacity of that style canister? I dont see that info on Zodi's site. Do you need to pressurize the bottle just once per shower...or do you need to periodically pressurize?

Guys with the elec pump...91xlt tells me he's had instances where the water comes out the shower head in spurts when the unit is on the ground and showerhead is elevated above head. Do you guys experience this also?

Thanks for the input guys..

This is what I use with a RV shower wand with the quick on/off dial. Since it's black you can leave it sitting out in the sun or on the roofrack and it will almost get too hot to use:sunny:

John, I have electric pump unit, never had it come out in spurts but it does seem to lose a little pressure the higher up from base it gets. Best pressure if we can set it on a rock or tailgate waist high.

I was concerned that the single burner wouldnt put out the consistent HOT water that i was looking for in a shower, you guys have convinced me to save a few bucks and just get the single burner.

Thanks again guys.. :clapsmile

John, I don't remember the size of the canister, but it was enough for two showers. And I don't remember having to pump in the middle of a shower!

Just got back from a camping trip...used the Zodi with new showerhead...very nice!

The canister is 3 gallons but they advise only filling to 2.5 gallons.
I had plenty enough for a good hot shower. I could have taken a longer shower with that volume.

I had to pump it up twice during the shower...

HTH...
