I had looked into this type of filter canister (K&N) some time ago for a 2.3 ltr turbo, found the CFM rating was not high enough.
Douglas, Donaldson and other filter canister manufactures have a large selection of canister filter assemblies.
The selection process; (1) first requirement is CFM flow rating, (2) secondly is size that will fit your application.
I'm using the Spectre inline filter and clamp for my snorkel install on my XJ. Was able to remove the stock box and free up space too. With an inline I was able to bypass a couple restricting bends in stock setup. It may not be "Waterproof" but sits high and with a rubber strap/band over the joining area I think it's as safe as any other exposed engine part. If the water is deeper than the filter (not wake) I'm probably in trouble anyway.
Oh and the nice chrome and chrome fittings adds the ricer / speedo look![]()

That specific one looks like a standard red acrylic Cold Air cone type filter/housing. Cheapo ebay direct from china. I ran a quick search and found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-High-Fl...e-Filter-/180593305369?vxp=mtr#ht_3821wt_1165
Ended listing, but I bet you can contact the seller and get him to relist. K&N (I know evil to most) makes them too. You can even get a carbon fiber housing one to go Xtra Fast!! :sombrero:

Donaldson have a online catalogue
It's pretty worthless, there are no pictures with their line of airfilters.
