Well, my wife and daughter went down to Florida to visit grandma...I had a few weeks to play...What would you do? I decided to head down to the Roost area of central Utah. Robber's Roost is infamous for the legendary cowboys; specifically Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch who used to call it home or hideaway. There are only two routes that I can think of that could handle a horse getting up and down from the canyon floors. I can understand why the lawmen decided to turn around and wait for the wildbunch to come out.
Today...not much has changed...
Up high; the desert and canyons hold their secrets well. Sagebrush and dirt...However, if you take the time and have some rope skills; a desert oasis is yours for the viewing. It's a magical place.
Cheers,
Mike
