What is a "full float axle"?

"full float" means that the axle shaft itself doesn't support the weight of the truck on the wheel. You can usually tell a full float axle if the hub in the center stick out past the wheel, the axle runs from your diff to your hub to drive your wheel. In a full float if you break an axle shaft your wheel wont fall off lol, if you break one in a semi float axle (where the axle supports the weight of the truck) then your wheel will fall off too. Not sure if that helped lol its hard for me to explain.

Stock axles for this truck would be a semi-float 14 bolt (not a bad axle at all--I think it's OEM in H2 Hummers, but not positive on that--could be a good source for a selectable locker?) and a 10 bolt front. '89 Subs are great rigs. Looks like a very clean specimen and will serve a new owner well. Should have a burly T400 trans as well.

I will bump it cause its a damn nice truck.
Would make a solid and simple platform for a real expo truck that could travel any place.
If I was in the market right now Id pick this up. With very few mods be able to take my SA trip with no worries...
Good Luck...
