Best Foam?

Hello everyone,

I'm shopping for some custom foam to replace the bunk ends on the my pop up camper rebuild. I need foam that's 3" (maybe 4"). Any recommendations for the best foam? There are some easily google-able foam sellers, but I'd love to hear if anyone has first hand experience.

Thanks

Thom

Here is a lnk with some info on quality. I bought some for a camper I had a few years ago. I don't remember exactly what I bout but it was 5"" thick, medium firmness, good quality. It's not cheap, but will last and be comfortable. I suspect most camper mfgs. use cheap foam or throw in a cheap $99 mattress.

EDIT- I bought mine local, the link is just for info.

Thanks for the tips - after I bought a cheapo mattress topper from WalMart - oh well. I can always return it.

By the way, how is your build going? I'm totally copying the way you braced your roof for the roof rack

For what it's worth, I bought and Ikea mattress and chopped it up on my last build. Worked great for me. Enough so that I used the same type of mattress, but thicker for my current build. They have about 20 different types of mattresses and they come in all different thicknesses from 3" - 10", all foam or inner sprung.
