I am selling Project Backpack to make way for a new project. It consists of a restored / improved M-101 trailer with a FWD pop up camper bolted in. I can separate the pair, but the trailer can't go before the camper.
The 101 Trailer has new parts installed to include:
-LED lights
-crank down tongue jack
-dual rear scissor jacks
-front kick stand wheel
The parking brakes are still in place and work well. The wheel wells were widened to make room for the camper. The seems were sealed and the whole trailer (even the bottom) was professionally painted. This trailer is solid as Sears:
The FWD camper is the older over the cab model. It is too wide for newer trucks. The canvas, screens, and windows are good ($1,400 if you needed to have FWD replace it). The top functions freely and easily. The exterior is solid but the cabinets / sink / stove / cooler are stripped in preparation for new stuff. The previous owner strengthened the floor by adding plywood to the bottom and screwing up into 2 x 4s. Kinda redneck. I added caulking to 4 small holes on the roof where a rack had been mounted. There does not appear to be any water damage (I keep it covered with a tarp).
FWD campers have an aluminum frame and can be redone into any configuration you want. This one has the long bench / bed on the curb side and the sideways bed up top in the front. The interior is shabby but useable. The previous owner had a dog, so there is a dog smell in it. It didn't bother me because I was going to gut it and redo it all. This is a solid base for a project.
Before:
In progress, kick stand down, with tongue crank, platform, and drop:
After paint widened and sealed wheel wells:
Camper Mounts:
FWD In trailer:
FWD interior:
I want this project to go to someone who will complete it. My bargain basement price is:
Camper: $300
Trailer: $500
Package: $700
Those are fair prices. Contact me at: bradesler@yahoo.com The trailer and FWD are in Superior Wisconsin.
