I don't know much about land rovers, but I figure there aren't a lot of these still around. Anyway I thought I'd share this incase anyone is looking for a "project". No info other than the ad, I just came across it on my local CL.

LHD 109 that appeares to be a II or IIA. Two major issues come to mind, frame and bulkhead rot. If those two are bad the vehicle is in need of a complete restoration and is virtually undrivable until completed.

Its so old, its pre-defender.

Yes. Super sad. The bulkhead is so rotten it has collapsed. That is a lot of rust. Hate to be a ********, but that truck is only good for some parts. That is about it.

******** @ $2000
$200 would be pushing it, but because of the upright Koenig (as used on the First Overland Rovers) it would be an ok buy.

Sent him an inquire- have a 200 looking for a home, maybe on a galv chassis, with a powder coated IIa bulkhead sitting in the barn...

At least the old once grand truck is still in the Great Outdoors exploring the wild. A more fitting end than being crushed and melted down for a modern crossover or Smart Car. The ghostly Series is still expeditioning.

I think it's more likely the outdoors is likely exploring it.

Fla quit using that numbering system for tags in mid-1970's.

If you look closely at the pic with the tag, there is a 75 in the left corner of the tag. I grew up in Melbourne, FL and I can't for the life of me remember when the local Chrysler dealer was called Lowery as in the dealers sticker above the tag. It's been Gator Chrysler and Dodge for as long as I've been driving, so this Rover has been sitting a long time.. LoL I'm 41 and started driving at 16.

Granted it could have very well been used for sometime at the hunting camp it's sitting at.

That winch is worth serious money. Even rusted, I would wager you would see $1000-1500. Cleaned up, painted, new cable I would think twice that. In any event, there is $2000 worth of parts and scrap metal there.

I've parted crap trucks before but that is a real pile....

"I think the wench alone is worth is worth the asking price"

Nothing I've parted ever came with it's own wench so it probably is worth the 2K!
