How many miles on your LR3/LR4?

I linked to Characters D3 in my earlier post.

He was at 675,000 in UK miles a few months ago. So should be above 680,000 by now.

Would I buy another? Well, with the price of LR4s coming down I'd be sorely tempted to look at one of them just for the extra power, but basically yes - I'd buy it again.

I agree with Don, would I would like to buy a LR4 instead of a 3 just to have a little more updates and a bigger engine. I have a '06 with 170k miles on it. I bought it in '08 from the dealer so I'm the second owner. It was still under warranty when I bought it. Lets see if I can remember all the maintenance... I just replaced the compressor, I had the front right wheel bearing go out. I had them replace some of the hight sensors because it would list to one side when it was parked, they ( the dealer) then figured out it was the compressor. I've gone through two batteries, one alternator (my fault, too much fun in the mud). the moon roof leaked because the drains were clogged. drivers seat warmer went out, that was expensive. The dealer is telling me my rear diff is going out but I don't know, it feels fine I had to replace the front right axel so i think that was the rubbing sound that the dealer thought was the diff. If it is the diff I'll just replace it when it gets real bad. Thats about it. I take it to the dealer for maintenance and work. It is expensive but they give me a good deal and I get a loaner Rover so the convince makes it worth it to me.

2006 LR3 V6 with 94k

Second owner, bought it at 35k miles. It has been a fantastic car and I would happily buy another one. I will happily buy another one, but I'm keeping this one as my camping truck. It has been driven from Orlando to Omaha and back without any incident, driven through snow and ice when others were stuck or sliding, was reliable enough to be my wife's car for a couple years, and safe enough to take my baby home from the hospital.

One air strut replaced at 55k miles. Another one needed replaced at 94k miles. I just had all four and the compressor removed and replaced with coils. Lower control arm replaced at about 80k miles. This has easily been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned (not counting the Honda Element, which was perfectly reliable for the 9 months I could tolerate driving that thing).

^x2 . . . The V6 is bulletproof. I have 126k on mine. No engine issues. Dependable as heck. Usual other vigorous maintenance items for wheeling - lower control arms, new compressor, bushes, one air shock (my fault, overextending, not the LR3). But I'm also rigorous with maintenance, - fluid renewals, tranny/diff/transfer/steering/coolant/brake...clean throttle body, MAF sensor/filters, etc.
