Anyone here running Rock Krawler for their suspension? I'm looking into their 2.5" Max Travel Kit and wanted to get some opinions on their suspension systems.

I have their arm on m JKU but my lift is AEV. But heard nothing but good things about Rock Krawler. Just curious where are you located?

Careful... I dont think you can use a lift besides AEV and still post on this forum, lol!

I use rockcrawler arms with synergy springs. The arms are high quality heavy duty. Based on what I have read and seen I would feel 100% confident running rockcrawler lift.

Haha! I didn't even think about that! The Rock Krawler kits look nice and this will be going on my dd so I want to make sure it rides decent on road, won't sag like crazy when loaded and does well off road. Everything I've seen says it flexes like crazy off road.

I have heard lots of great stuff about Rock Krawler, I think it might flex better than AEV but for ride comfort and long trips IMO you cant beat AEV. But for some more expert advice on Rock Krawler I would suggest give Jason at http://www.krawloff-road.com/ a call he is a great guy and has lots of experience with them.

I'm running RK 3.5 mid arm flex system for over 3 years. I like it. Just recently replaced bushings and flex joints on lower control arms but that is normal wear. Considering the life that my JKU is living, any other bushings and flex joints would wear just as fast if not faster. The flex joints are rebuildable but I chose to replace them with new design which has +/-30 degrees. They call them Krawler Joints. Teraflex uses joint called "johnny joints" which are rated to +/-20 degrees. The arms...well they are indestructible. If you do manage to bend them, RK will replace them no questions asked. However if you do end up with bend RK arm (the only way I can imagine would be by getting hit by a train or driving of a cliff), most likely you'll have bigger problems to worry about :Wow1:. When I installed the kit ( over 3 years ago ) I clearly remember the the ride was better then when the Jeep was stock which is same thing you hear about AEV.

Here is what my rig is subjected to every other weekend for last 3+ years (it is also a daily driver):

I'll have to do give him a call. David at Northridge suggested the AEV because it was stiffer.

Do you notice any sag with all the weight? Thanks for the pictures too, it helps me with my decision making.

It is hard to say... Sometimes it does look like it is squatted so ever so slightly but other times it looks leveled. I do have a lot of weight at the back; besides the bumper, tire carrier, full spare, 2 jerry cans, basket, propane tank and campfire burner it also has a camper with fridge, spare parts and spare fluids inside. I would not get stiffer springs( for my rig) since it rides really nice and is able to flex off road. For me it is fine for now. In the future, if rear springs are going to sag, I'll get spring wedges first.

I was not looking for a large lift so I went with the Rock 1.5 lift flex system. The ride is great and feels like there is no weight on the front end. With the control arms my caster is back in spec but gain ground clearance instead of lost ground clearance like you do with drop brackets.

I probably will upgrade to the max or x Factor in a year or so. Unlike most other lifts out there RK addresses the fact when you lift rear axle is pulled forward. With the RK control arms you recentered the axle in the wheel well.

I mean AEV does great to do it over I would have done 3.5 in AEV, Rock Krawler or Metal Cloak would have been my 2nd choice.

I just wish I could get out and ride more often.

Good to know. I'm looking at either the 2.5 Max Travel or the 3.5 Flex for now and adding the other control arms later on.

Right now AEV is a close second in my mind.
