My "new" hunting rig, 1993 Toyota pickup

Great trucks guys, love how clean, simple, and functional they are. I've been lurking around this site for a while but this is my first post and thought I'd share my 94 XtraCab. It's my DD and hunting/camping truck. It's stock except for the winch front bumper, Trail-Gear rear bumper and shell I added (supper cheap on CL :D) to sleep in while on my weekend hunting trips.

All great looking trucks. ust bought a 93 for my soon to be 16 yr old. Also have a 92 that my 22 yr old has had since he was 16. JUst told my wife if buy every one I could find if I could afford it. Just cant beat em. The 93 has 270k on it. I bought it 150 miles away and drove it home. Wldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere.

These little trucks just go. I went to a Toyota dealership today and 3 salesmen came out and were checking out the truck today. Had a guy offer me $3000 for it and I told him I was insulted by the offer ;)

I can't see myself selling this one, it just suits my needs to well

Heck yeah. I would be too. I dnt think id take less than $5grand for either of mine and neither is near as nice as yours. Cant be replaced for that kind of money.

I would be insulted too lol. Here in so cal these trucks are regularly advertised at $5-7k and no where near as nice as yours. I spent almost a year trying to find a 5-speed and when I finally did it was in pretty great shape and only 130k original miles so I jumped all over it and it cost me 5k but I'm keeping this truck for life so I don't mind

Dude! i love your truck! its stinkin awesome! I wish mine had a/c, maybe someday. Glad to see other regular cabs!!

Thanks bud. The air conditioner well literally run you out of the truck. It gets COLD! I am thinking about going with an old man emu lift for it with 33x10.50's but I'm not in any hurry

That is great!' Old man emu is the way to go! I like my 33x10.50's, they fit the stance well. Do you DD yours? If my wife and I head back to colorado anytime we need to meet up!!

I don't daily drive it, it's more of a weekend hunting truck. I use it in the place of a UTV on the ranches I guide hunts on and it's worked very well. I drive it around town quite a bit but we take the tundra on longer road trips and for more daily driving

I got rid of the topper that was on it when I bought it as it was beyond repair. I'm thinking of going with another one and wanted opinions.....

The first is an aluminum topper and I like that the side windows open up...

The second is a fiberglass topper that's fairly tall....

Any opinions on aluminum vs fiberglass? Any thoughts would be appreciated

hey! dang i wish you were closer! I dont need the camper shell i had on my pickup before i got my wildernest..
The previous owner had a topper custom built for the truck, its all aluminum frame and skinned. It also has
carpet along the inside and two sliding windows. I really really like the look of the topper on the truck but I love the Wildernest and
doubt I will ever put it back on. I like the aluminum toppers but those tall fiberglass toppers would make great bed camper setups!

I always used to have Fiberglass caps and then I put a rock through the side glass. During the repair process I got my hands on an ARE Commercial cap with 3 opening sides. I can never go back. No windows to break and you can access every inch of the bed. So that's my preference from now on. Style wise, the fiberglass cap looks nicer and some neighborhoods do not allow "work" trucks to be parked on the curb.

Yup, they sell for stupid money... putting my green truck up for sale for $8500...
