Ac line replacement.

Have any of y'all ever had to have an Ac line replaced.
Apparently there is not an actual valve on my low pressure side. Just the cap holding back the pressure.
So I'm in need of a valve for it or do I need to replace the whole line.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I think those valves are usually Schrader valves (the same type of valve for airing up tires). You might be able to replace the valve guts with another.

I would think that it is a fairly common size on cars.... so I'm thinking that just about any modern vehicle at a junk yard could have the valve guts removed and swapped into yours.

Depends on the year. The new ones are quick disconnects. The old ones are Schrader.

The high side looks to have a Schrader type valve. So I'm guessing the low side would also. Just have to get the valve core for it.
Need to replace the belts also. So I'll just see if I can get one from the parts store. That way I won't have to worry about it sticking open or having a bad spring or something.
