ARB 2500 awning???

Hey all! I wanna get you opinion, I was planing on building a Hannible style awning of our ambo. But I just saw that ARB has the larger 2500model. (8ft x 8ft)

Does anybody have this one? I'd like to know how long the vertical poles are. My mounting location is a solid 8ft from the ground.

Here's what I had in mind.

I know I'll need to make some custom mounting brackets for it but that's not a big deal.

I believe they are extendable and go to approx. 6' what may cause you pause is side door opening clearance and rolling it back up you will definitely need some type of step?

IM 6' and on my car I can walk comfortably under it, and it has a bit more extension. Id say 7ft to be safe.

That's exactly what I'm worried about, i need about 8ft or more to clear the door when opened.

I also called about the James Baroud awning, one of the guys there is gonna measure the poles fully extended and get back to me.

I have that awning and like said above they are expandable. I'm 6' and with them fully extended there is a lot of room. I would have to guess they are somewhere between 7-8' fully extended.
