Excluding the 17" steel wheels, it's stock for now:

6.0L
4L80E
NVG246
AAM 9.25"/9.5" with 4.10's & G80 "locker"

Look forward to learning a lot here; thanks for having me.

Nice burb! Wish mine had factory 4.10s, save me quite a bit of money lol best performance mod I did to mine was a Blackbear tune. Really wakes it up, plus I actually did get a bit better mpg.

That's pretty much the exact spec as my 2004. We picked ours up last spring and have really enjoyed it. What are your plans?

Welcome to the site Ramblejam. Nice:Wow1: looking rig you got there. I am looking forward to seeing what you do to your `Burb´ Got and plans on modifications yet?:)

Certainly seems to be a well-thought of custom tune. Then again, apparently the older I get, the more I appreciate things like torque management and conservative tuning in a vehicle like this.

I will say that even when running the factory calibration, these engines really thrive on 89 octane when being worked to an appreciable level; more power, more mpg.

What are your plans?

As of now, it runs me into town, roams around the farm, and gets tasked with some towing at times, like this from a few weeks ago:

The Burb was purchased though with the forethought of having a nice, stout platform on which to get off the beaten path. Mods will likely be mild (tires, suspension, sleeping setup).

Looks good, how many miles on it? What interior does it have? I don't see any LS or LT identifiers on the C pillar. Is it a fleet vehicle? Great solid running gear package and just so you know your front differential can be changed to a cast iron differential housing if you want something a little stronger. Those wheels look like they might be Dodge rims. There is a pretty solid Suburban group here, hope you find what you need.

Thanks for the differential tip!

Good catch on the wheels. Dodge used these on trucks up to 10k GVWR, so I figure they're a good, strong choice for the Burb.

Around 98k when purchased. Pushing 110k now.

I don't see any LS or LT identifiers on the C pillar.

As for the decal, I'm not sure. However, YE9 appears on the build sheet, and it's equipped with most of the nicer options:

Higher-end 40/20/40 cloth seats
Six-way power drivers seat
Power mirrors, locks, windows
Rear Heat & A/C
Keyless Remote
"Deluxe Front Appearance Package" & chrome bumpers
Deep-tinted glass
Etc, etc...

Sorry to hi-jack, but I'm interested in this. I couldn't find anything through Google. Do you have any more info?

I'm guessing your talking about the cast iron front differential housing? 2500 and I believe 3500 (I don't see a bigger IFS front axle) HD's use or have available a cast iron differential housing. Probably part of a plow package, would be my guess, but it uses the same mounting tabs. Let me do a little looking to see if I can find a link.

Update: 9.25 IFS housing in cast iron started in 2011 GM HD trucks. Now to confirm it mounts the same!
Update #2: Cast iron 9.25 is a Salisbury type with a differential cover, aluminum is still the clamshell type. I can't see why GM
would have 2 different type mounting brackets. How different are HD frames from a standard 2500/3500? From what I can see passenger side axle looks to be the same for both axles, as well as internal parts.
