Ambitious but Rubbish
Hi everyone, my name is Chad and its been 17 days since I last..... Oh wait, wrong group.
I've owned Land Rovers of various types at different times for several years now. Started with some P38 daily drivers for my wife, which were mostly mall crawlers with a few dirt playdates here and there. Now I currently have 4 in varying conditions, and I'm playing caretaker for my brother's Disco as well.
I got into the off-roading/exploring aspect of it to find an automotive activity that my wife and little kids would also enjoy, and so far it's been great. They love daddy's Rovers. I'm looking forward to more outdoor excursions and unplugging a bit more. I don't enjoy camping in big campgrounds, so having a means to get far away from people in the hidden parts of the Sierras should be terrific.
Current fleet:
-94 Range Rover Classic County SWB. I had been building this for a family trail rig until I stumbled across a built P38 on CL.
-97 Range Rover P38 SE. Got a good deal on this fully built rock crawling rig. I need to do several things to make it more of a family friendly trail rig, but it's an awesome platform.
-98 Discovery SE. Need to do some serious interior work and very minor mechanical work, but it's all stock.
-97 Discovery LSE. I'm currently parting this out, she was too far gone to save (toasty engine).
