To start off with, this site has been an inspiration to do what I have dreamed of for years. All the builds have been amazing and thank you all for posting your mistakes and your corrections.

I first began with a 40x48 harbor freight trailer I bought with a 20% off coupon I found online and bolted it together in my apartment. Then with the help of other threads I found that a 55" hub face to hub face would work for my application from southwest wheel. It is a 3500 lbs axle with 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Still have the original slipper springs from HF but plan on changing to a double eye spring once I add the extra bracing and tounge to the frame. Today I got some rock crawler rims and 33 x 12.50 tires from a good friend of mine who also has a trailer build. I can not be more excited on the transformation with it just as a rolling frame. More to come on the future build but time for the all important pictures!!

If your going to do any off-roading I box the frame .Take anything and put in one of the slots and push .That a lot of flex don't you think. At the shop we get them with small cracks to big . We will not even try to weld them up. Just box one slot in and see how much of the flexing is gone
