i couldnt find anything about something being in this location stock, but i went to crawl under the disco to see if it has the CDL, it does! neeed to find a way to hook it up seen several ways online. but i noticed this while crawling under there i noticed this little guy it looks like a battery mount and is located under the drivers door on the outside of the chassis.

I believe it is the mount for the air compressor for DII's with rear air suspension.

ah, im gonna have to measure it, if it will fit a decent battery i was planning on doing a frame mount battery anyways, might as well right? lol saves me time and money welding one to the frame in the rear.

yep after some quick googling that's what it is. is for the air compressor, thanks man!

I run a big ol' DieHard Marine battery. Did my research years ago on dual battery set ups, and in the end, all those who did said if again, they'd just do the biggest, single battery available, hence my choice.

I know that project is calling you, but Columbia Overland had a super nice dual battery tray, might be better protected under the hood.

Good Luck, mv

May I ask, why?

aux power for my camping trailer, lights, soon to be fridge and other camp equipment, or as some people on here call "house" or "shore?" battery. i don't want to remove the factory battery mount to put a dual battery mount in there.
plan is to have it isolated via solenoid as well so when the truck is off i dont have to worry about it effecting the starting battery vice versa.

Thanks, that was my design! Still running that tray in mine after about 7 years use.
