Would you use brake hose to make air hose?

My cheapo chinese coiled air hose split. I have a spool of brake hose that looks much stronger.
Would it be ok to just add air fittings to a length of brake hose to rig a stronger air hose?
I'd like hydraulice pressures within a brake line are much higer (10x) that that of an air compressor.

I believe it can be used......but it's rather overkill. But if you have a coil of brake flexible hose and it will take the "Nitto" type air pressure fittings as far as size of ferrules of your fittings off old hose and inside diameter of brake hose or you can get new fittings than why not go ahead? What else would you use it for?

Yeah, if it's "normal size" but BIGtruck brake hose may be ok......maybe he means brake booster vacuum hose???

As above, depends what you are using it for. I use brake hose for my ARB locker air lines, but that is a very low volume of air needed.

Makes sense. Air brake hose should work great but not very flexible.

How about refining the question...

Airbrake plastic tubing while not greatly flexible, several sizes & colours too. Works great & safe for all kind of compressed air uses. Alot of guys use it as permanantly installed shopair systems. (Dont use PVC pipe !!)
Hydraulic brake hose would work, but typically its so small i.d. it would be of limited usefulness.

As long as I keep the cheap air hose out of the sun, it has worked for a long time around the compound. If it's for some on-board air compressor use, like a York retrofit, just keep replacing the hose when it gets tired.
If you are using a CO2 tank like me for inflating tires in the outback, you must use a special curly hose with special hardware that will not freeze during use. You can see the frost accumulate while pumping those 375x55R16 super single tires from 20 pounds to 65 pounds.
