My new Rubicon!

Hey everybody,

I'm pretty stoked. I've had a 2001 XJ for 12 years. It was time to look toward moving on.

The very first day I started looking the (only) local dealer had a 2015 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with 31K miles.

Living in a small rural community has it's advantages: the dealer sold that Jeep new in 2014 and the original buyer got a new job and needed a truck.

While he had the Jeep he did lots of great upgrades. Front and Rear Warn bumpers. Warn Winch. 2.5" lift, new wheels, tires. LED light bar, new hood, "angry bird" grill, etc.

They put me in touch with him so I was able to buy the soft top and some other accessories as well. Great guy. Did first class work on this rig. He was really relieved to see it go to somebody who would value and take care of it. A really good experience all the way around.

It was a big purchase, but I couldn't be happier: Low mileage vehicle with the off-roading upgrades all done.

Here's a pic of it next to my XJ. I've had multiple buddies agree with me that pictures just don't do it justice.

Anyway, I knew this forum would be happy for me!

:sombrero: That's a beauty and I always liked that "angry Bird" grill-

kinda makes the jeep look like she's in a fighting mood-

Good deal-

Congrat's. I have never heard of or seen a grill like that, and I saw the photo before I read your post, and when you mentioned the "Angry Birds" grill I laughed out loud because that is Exactly what it looks like. Too funny. Congrats on the new wheels. May have you have 12 more adventurous years with her.

Awesome. Had a built XJ in the late 90's myself. Two different beasts. You'll love the JKU. I agree with getting rid of the grill... A bit passé and looks kinda teenagerish... But it's your beast. I especially love the AEV Saltas.

If the hood is stock you not only got a Rubicon, you got a Hard Rock! Congrats! Love mine.:Wow1:

I don't think that's a hard rock. The hood is right but the Rubicon text is in the wrong place for the hard rock edition. They have the text starting next to the back edge of the hood, not centered on the side like normal rubicon's.

Yes I've studied these things lol

The red outline on Rubicon is the give away for me. I'll bet your sway bar and locker buttons are red too
