LR3 trail spares

The thermostat is integral with a plastic housing that cracks over time. I replaced mine at 106k miles and plan to do so preemptively by the time I'm at 200k.

I did my thermostat and housing as well as all hoses and fittings at 80k when i had the front end apart on the truck from an accident. I also have a new housing and thermostat on the shelf. I'm pretty sure I'll go coils when i have deal with airstruts!

Not quite. The thermostat can be obtained separately. There is a part number for the t stat alone, and a separate part number for the whole housing that includes the t stat. Not integral, it just happens to be available 'pre-installed' inside the housing.

Correct.....thats how I got mine from AB. two t-stats installed in two housings. I only wanted to pay Hawaii shipping once and since i had AC condensor and radiator and all kinds of stuff coming, I ordered more and they stuffed everything in there to save weight and space! This way I have accessible spares on the shelf of uncommon items that will leave me out of the fight.
