Highway robbery with half tons

Holy Moses, does Ford Canada despise it's customer.

The 2020 MSRP is insane, even with the usual summer employee pricing discounts of 10-12k, paying 40k+ for an XLT SCAB is pretty rich, especially considering how blah Ford's interiors are.

These are trucks I would actually buy. Plain old XLT trucks with the drivetrain and gear ratio and E locker I want. Still need to add brake control and a spray in liner though both these trucks had plastic liners in them, etc but the important bits are there.

Yep..."Sticker Price" can be obnoxious at times...and it's why I have an STX and not an XLT...lol.

Not an XL or STX on the lot. Most were XTR and Lariat

We live in the era of $1000 phones and $80k trucks.

Better get used to it, or do what most of us do.... buy used.

Yeah.

No one pays sticker. If they do they probably shouldn’t be buying anything over $5000 anyway.

Note I mentioned even at 10-12k off MSRP the trucks still 40+

Mine was 12k off out the door with taxes and license it was $82,000. Most I’ve ever paid for a vehicle. It will be my main wheels for the next 10-15yrs. I won’t be spending that much ever again on a car for me. Wife will likely end up with the Ford MACH-E in 2-3 yrs she needs a EV commuter and gets free juice at the office.

Yeah, even used commands a hefty price down here. I wonder with the Virus and unemployment as it is how many repo's are going to start showing up? Guys financing these hulks for 60-72 months? Irresponsible.
Oil crash no doubt has repo guy’s busy

It does feel absurd, and is a big reason I am driving a 2006 model truck, but they really aren't that far out of line. I was reading an article about T100s the other day that mentioned the MSRP was $23,000 in 1993. If you run that through an inflation index, that's $40k+ plus truck today.

Yeah, those can be pricy. My brother has a 2019 Limited... It literailly cost twice what my truck did! Like, I get it, it's a luxury car with a bed...but wow!

Even used prices are insane. Clapped out F150’s with over 100k still go for premium. 20-30k miles.....might as well spend another $1k and buy new!!

Then piss on the cute little half ton and go Superduty.

I paid just $16k for my 120k mile 2011 Superduty.

yep, why do you think zero down, no payments for 4 months, in house financing is such a success.
why do you think I have never in 45 years bought a new vehicle.
it has never changed, this is the game.

My ‘17 f150 supercrew lariat fx4 optioned out was the most expensive vehicle I ever bought but here I am looking at superduty powerstroke w/ the tremor package. Hard to swallow that one which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger.

Hell, even the wife’s grand cherokee trailhawk was north of 50k.
