Hello Everyone,
So its taken about 6 years but I am back in the truck game! I had an F250 that I loved that I bought new in 2011 with the 6.7l diesel, eventually deleted all the emissions (I was in TX), replaced the stock gas tank with a 50 gallon one (hello 800 miles!), put a craigslist canopy on the back and eventually moved up to Oregon in 2014. Once in Oregon my wife and I decided to start a family and being in a wheelchair and trying to get in and out of the truck with car seats and all the junk that kids need proved challenging. So in 2015 I traded it in and got a base model E350 at a local ford dealer and my wife told me I had made a huge mistake as we drove away. That was nice.
Once I had the van I was missing the 4wd that I rarely used, as well as the "cool factor" so I began looking into conversions. That led me to multiple converted 4wd vans and eventually with our second kid I dropped the E-series platform and got a Transit. That was when I was bitten by the "Eco-Boost" bug and IFS that made me feel like I was back in my old diesel but with a more comfortable ride. And while I had gotten accustomed to the maintenance that comes with the F250 axles (basically learned how to rebuild them) I still didn't like how rough the ride was compared to the IFS.
Well its 2020 and in the spirit of adding to the craziness my wife and I have decided to move to Idaho. I then realized maybe my 2wd Transit with a limited slip rear and decent all terrains wasn't going to cut it. So against my lenders wishes I decided to sell my van and get a new truck!

2020 F150 XL 3.5l Ecoboost, 6.5 bed, 10 speed, 3.55 / E-Locker, Tow package with the 36 gallon gas tank, Vinyl from top to bottom, front bench seat, fog lights, backup camera.
Its exactly what I would have ordered if I had the chance to build and order one and it was on the lot not far from me. Sticker price was 49k and I was out the door at 41k so I said sorry to everyone that worries about my finances and went and got it. Dont get me wrong, I am not going into extreme debt or anything but apparently its not good to buy new vehicles when your 15 days from closing on a new house. Personally I see my safety and well being of my children as a high priority so when the lender didn't say I couldn't do it, I saw that as a yellow light.
