1985 Mercedes-Benz 1936A Truck - with high potential for Expeditiontruck buildup

Hello everyone!

With big disappointment I acknowledged the fact, that there is no space for old trucks like this on roads in Europe anymore. Due to the more and more strict regulatory in Europe, it´ close to impossible to register an old truck after the conversion to an expedition truck, not fulfilling the todays environmental norms.
So we decided to sell this 4 wheel drive former Mercedes-Benz Fire Truck from 1985, with only 50.000 km (31.000 miles) so it might have a second live and travel the world. We already replaced certain parts (air pressure tanks, batterie, exhaust-pipe,...) The truck is ready to drive and engine runs very smooth. The V engine is a 18 liter (18263 cm2) 10 cylinder with 261 kW (354 PS) diesel, one thing is clear... you will never run out of power. Official documents of the truck and for export are available. The truck is now in Switzerland and we would be able to help with transport and shipping. If there are any questions, please ask, email: hku@mo-so.at or call 00436764246846

I would consider something around $45.000 USD OBO.

Do you know by a chance if you can drive old trucks through European countries? If the truck is registered in a different country? I see many people are driving old T2LN1 which are Euro 1 - 2

Hello, yes driving is not an issue. I know that there is a 3 months rule, after 3 months you would have to register the car in the country you are living in, but if the truck is registered abroad and your place of living is abroad.

In my case the problem starts if the truck has not been registered in the EU before, and you want to register it for the first time. As this truck has only been registered in Switzerland, which is not part of the EU.
