Storage and living space are maximized by the flared body and Power Lift Bed that converts to a 49 x 79 inch sleeping surface. Welded aluminum cabinet face frames, dual pane windows with insulated shades, snap in screens for fresh air circulation, and an available roof mounted AC system all contribute to the Revel's off the grid livability.

Why so much air? Why the snorkel?

This vehicle is built for offroading, including crossing water without issues. Air tanks are handy for inflating tires after you deflate to cross particular terrain multiple times and inflate anything else you bring on your trips or whatever your imagination comes up with. Instant air verse waiting for a DC/AC pump to take 10-20mins to struggle to fill each tire. They have been extremely valuable when you are burning daylight.

Can you provide specs or model number on the onboard air compressor installed? The quoted 10-20min to reinflate a tire sounds concerning.

They may be dorks, but they have hi-lift jacks on their Jeep hoods

Literally my questions are the opposite of that. There’s no sane reason other than looks to put a snorkel like that on a Revel. The stock intake is well above several of the electronic components so if they are crossing water that high you would expect a host of other mods to protect from flooding the electrical.

Preventing water ingestion is only one use of a snorkel. In many cases people install them to reduce the amount of dust ingested into the engine. That may have been their goal, or perhaps they just like the look.

The high intake is for road dust! Yes it looks cool too. You would have to be really inexperienced to think about taking a MB Van in deep water!

Go check out Stewart Stevenson military trucks. They have them for off road dust too..... If you wheeling in areas that have dust, high mounted intakes work!
