Running gear and chassis are back together.
Just brought the body back into the shop for its final workover.

We have a 3-week trip coming up... so work will be delayed.
But I should have it back together and on the road in the next few months

BTW, build thread over here.... https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/the-heap-a-gen-2-tracker-vitara-build.220496/

Bought this’94 Tracker about 3 months ago. Only had 53K or so miles on the odo. This one came from Canada but has spent most of its life here in Yuma. Mostly in excellent shape but the clear coat is toast. These Suzuki/Geo’s are all over the place here. It’s no hot rod by any means got to keep the rpm’s up (engine is screaming at 60+mph.) to keep up with traffic. I got pulled over the other day for driving to slow 😟

If you want more useable power, I suggest you look into a 2.0 or 2.3 engine swap. (y)

The J20A engine is one of the biggest reasons I went with a Gen2 tracker/vitara
Considerably more power and much more reasonable on the highway.
Even with the 31's mine has no problem keeping up on the highway.

Still far from fast though :ROFLMAO:

We bought it to be a grocery getter/run errands with and not put so many miles on the Ram PU.
No other plans to do much more with it than that but it would be fun to make it more capable for off road use.

They are remarkably capable stock. Main limiting factor will be tires.
So good set of ATs or mud tires would do wonders. (y)
