4 speakers on the roof?
Diesel or petrol?

PS--I noticed SNLC in your signature. So SNLC built this 958(personal rig)?

We just picked up a 958.2 base from a friend & client. Taking the less is more approach. Has 265/65r18 on stock suspension. No rubbing with a caster adjustment. Has yellow LED foglamp replacements and some aesthetic changes.

Rennline phone mount installed and Roadspy radar mount on the way. I'll replace the highbeam and cornering lights with the H7 rallye bulbs from Daniel Stern.

Looking at possibly adding the Emotion .5" level kit and a pair of Hellas on the front tow points.

We've had it a week and probably found a dozen water crossings already 😅

Had lean codes due to a failed AOS so I did the $60 955 external AOS mod to avoid replacing the valve cover. That job sucks.1000050502.jpg1000050503.jpg1000050495.jpg

Just picked up a 2025 GTS Coupe as a "road warrior."

Might build it into more of an overlander over time.

Would be eager to see this. Quite a few limitations with the newer rigs unfortunately.

Sure, but the trade-off for on-road performance works for me.

Just spoke to Eurowise about a skid plate/underbody protection. They said "near future."

Eager to see which overlandy stuff you add to this, specifically in the tire realm.

Curious what type of off-pavement terrain you plan to be on?

Don't expect I'll do much (I'd have otherwise gone with a Cayenne S and Off-Road Package).

I'll do A/T tires if a Porsche rated one is ever made available.

Nothing beyond gravel and logging roads, maybe two-tracks.

It'll be a touring car that'll get me to the trailhead and allow me to explore a bit.

So don't need or want a lift, just a little protection (if only for peace of mind). Probably some lights too.

What is a Porsche rated tire?

I believe N0, N1, etc spec? Means Porsche paid Michelin or other mfr $$$ to develop a tire specifically for X Porsche model.

Curious to hear why a Porsche rated vs non-Porsche rated A/T is important to clarence.

First I've ever heard of such a scam. Any tire will work as long as it is the correct size and load/speed rating. My Cayenne came with Continentals and now I run Goodyear Duratracs.

Hehe…
Porsche wanted better tires for each model than what was available off the shelf. Think of it as a special sauce tire which they’d pay the tire mfr’s for, in order to extract THAT much more performance/safety from the vehicle. Those German’s…
