Hella 500's on Disco II Brush bar????

I recently hit the Hella 500 special, on Amazon.com, and bought two pair. One set for our RV and the second for my wife's 1999 Discovery II. The D II is equipped with a factory brush bar. Problem is, the bottom of the light hits the top of the round brush bar in such a way, that the mounted lights would be aiming up at a 15 or 20 degree angle. NOT GOOD! I was thinking about a short length of aluminum square tube, 2", set on it's side with a hole drilled in the top surface to accommodate the built-in Hella bolt and a second bolt, washer and nut, to anchor it to the mounting tab on the brush bar. Has anybody else encountered this situation and already solved it? If so... I don't want to re-invent the wheel. If the bolt was longer I would just cut a short piece of aluminum tube to slide on the bolt between the base of the light and the top of the tab. In this case, bolt is an unusual Hella proprietary design. Thanks for any help.

I thought this was going to be a 30 minute bolt-on addition :-( I was wrong - Again.

I stacked a bunch of washers on the stud and then bolted them down. Worked fine.

Do they vibrate at all? The 500's don't have a great mounting system to start with. I had my FF1000's on a car with mounts that weren't rigid enough and they vibrated annoyingly.
