Welcome to the Portal

The WJ looks impressive without seeming obscene.

Why the death wobble?

Thanks for the welcome. Upper and Lower ball joints were replaced about 2 years back with an offset style of balljoint (IIRC)...this was the 1st thing replaced in the DW dilemma.

Caster and toe, caster and toe...

Set the caster to the max of the factory range. Increase toe just a little bit.

Hopefully nothing else is worn.

I ran into the same thing with my WJ. Kevins Duel SS kit with OME SS in stock location and Kevins SS in new locations. JKS Trac Bar, stock arms, 3" Iron Rock Coils with 3/4" spacer from Kevins. No DW now, but I did change all 4 tie rod ends when I up graded the tie rod to a JKS one. I'm running the same size tires but Toyo At's. My ball joints are stockers from when I bought it was 55k miles and I have 95k on it now. Just keep them greased and call it a day. Might want to check the hubs and see if they are getting long in the tooth, I had that issue on my XJ and it fixed the DW.

Yeah, wheel bearings, steering gearbox and another check of the alignment is next. I've just been living with it for a long time now...it only happens at highway speeds and I'm rarely on the highway, so it's not an everyday kind of thing. After looking into getting rid of the Jeep and realizing I can't afford what I want (100 series Land Cruiser) I'm now bound and determined to get this fixed!

Once that's done it's on to the heater core, rear axle seal and broken exhaust manifold stud...it never ends. Then hopefully I can spend some fun money on the heep...roof rack! I think the Rola is the route I'm gonna go, the price is right (under $200 shipped on ebay)

Welcome to the Expo. I loved living in Ft. Collins back in the day. Still a great town to visit. Sucks about your DW. I was really concerned about that when lifting my XJ, but I got lucky.

FWIW- MTO used to have a bad reputation for covering the details, so if they did your alignment after installation, that could be the issue.

As of about 2 years ago MTO was purchased by a new guy, Josh. I knew him previously from working with him and he seems to be honest and straightforward. I'm gonna take it back to them one more time and see what they can figure out. The other shop I have used is Fort Collins 4x4, great reputation and SOOOO expensive. They take the approach that it's $100 to look at the Jeep and then whatever needs to be done is quoted from the book, regardless of actual time spent working on it. They are very thorough and do great work though. Example...they quoted $475 labor to install front control arms (upper and lower) not including an alignment...MTO did it for much less including the alignment.

Thanks...impressive without being obscene...I like that. No real need to go bigger, taller, more expensive...no real money to do it either. The DW is a whole other story, if you really want to know http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494309

Maybe one of you guys will have an idea.

Looks like you have had every remedy under the sun throw at you on jeepsunlimited. My only suggestion is to place the Jeep "Mystical Pyramid" on the hood and burn sage around the tires. Worked for me :)
