Specifically, a TJM bull bar (the one that looks similar to the ARB for the LC 80) for a Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2003 model. I would prefer an ARB but they only make them for the 97-99 model years.

This would be for installing a winch up front for self recovery. Im on the planning stages on modding this vehicle for "exped" trips. Thanks.

TJM pulled out of the US market last year. Some stateside dealers got their last stock, this was discussed in a thread in Feb. Click here for more info.

Otherwise, it looks like you are stuck with ordering from Australia.

Ahhhh. Thats is why I couldnt find anything last night. Well thats that.
Back to the drawing board as they say.

The lack of support for this vehicle is dismal. And this is the reason why my plan for this vehicle is limited to keeping it stock as possible and not going beyond forest roads and very easy easy moderate trails. But I have found since I bought this new, it has been dependable/trouble free as my LC 80. I guess I have to look into how I can hack a 1997-99 ARB bull bar into the front.

Thanks for the quick replies everybody.

I feel your pain! I am in much the same boat with my Tahoe. Not much expedition ready stuff for my rig either. Modding an ARB is a good idea, I did the same for my rig last year. A good start is to find an ARB supported vehicle that has similar dimensions as yours and go from there.

If you dont mind cutting and welding stuff - anything is possible! :wings:
There is a forum for the MS and found a thread where somebody did hack his front to fit an ARB. Ill probably go that route and get somebody to help me with it.

How much has changed since the 99 ARB bumper? Might be easier to start with that and have the new tabs welded on to fit your frame rails.
