I felt it was only right to have such a sweet Yellow Jeep reflecting off of Yellowstone Lake

This RTT is so cool, it has inspired us to search one out for the roof of our truck. This should add to our adventure and allow us more back country exploring away from the Travel Trailer

XJBanker, when we leave Yellowstone at the end of September, we're planning on headed towards Utah, so if you're out wheelin, maybe I could snap a few pics:elkgrin:

Pat, he is like my little Gilligan. He just follows me around like a lost puppy. I'm sure if we meet up somewhere he will be tagging right along behind.

Great pics Ryan... took me right back.

I'm curious, the employee campground. Is that along the west thumb behind the old lodge and maintenance area?

Employee campground for those of us who work in West Thumb, all 3 of us, isnt actually in the West Thumb basin. It's up in the Grant Village area.

Dont know how to explain it. Hidden off the road and only listed as a Service Road like all the other employee areas are.

They do a good job of keeping the employee housing and camping areas away from the public eye so we have our privacy.

Daniel, remember that both Nevada City and Virgina City closed down last weekend. Virginia City has a few shops open year-round, a Cafe, a Bar and one General Store, but that's it.

It might be cool to be there and not have anyone around, basically making it a true Ghost Town feel, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to get into the Nevada City site?

Cindy and I went last weekend and had a blast. Both towns are really cool to see!

I dont want to Hijack Ryan's thread so if you want to see some more images from our visit here is a link to our Virginia City Gallery and our Nevada City Gallery

Thanks again Ryan for recommending this to us!

You make me realize how far I have to go. Seriously your style of photography really inspires me.

No worries about a hijack. I've been waiting to see those.

I guess I should have said I'll be in Yellowstone in a few weeks for a few days and then a few days in the Tetons. I kinda planned the trip in October in hopes fewer people would be there so we'll see.
