I was wondering if anyone knows of a good British car importer? I'm looking at possibly bringing in a pre-84 D109 or 110 and figured that I should learn a little something about what is involved before I get too fired up.

That is a gorgious 110. Out of my price range though. I'm just trying to get a bead on an approximate cost to get one over here and registered. There seem to be several in England right now for fairly cheap. I don't need perfect, just soild with potential.

Might be a pipe dream, but I gotta look into it, right?

Those ex-military series 3 109 soft tops are GORGIOUS though. I'm having a hard time rationalizing getting one of those instead of a 80 series crusier with lockers, a winch, and a fridge for the same price, though.
I do love the series. I grew up on old British cars so they have a special place in my heart.

Lots of good 110's already here and more being shipped over everyday. I would think you could find a 110 SW in pretty good shape in the low teens right now. Check out www.d-90.com in the classifieds section. If you need any help let me know.

check out buyrover's inventory and redmountainrovers.com. they can get you some good ones. i think buyrovers has a few in the states already that have 200tdi's and are around $9Gs

If you would like to know more about my trucks or the import process please feel free to ask away here or through pm/email. I usually inventory 3-5 trucks at any given time. The prices run a bit higher than mentioned by michaels but they are very reasonable as its nothing more than a hobby for me. All are tdi's and are super solid if not completely refurbished.

If you are in LA you will be subject to the rather iffy Califonia import/registration laws. You may find it impossible to register something newer than 1974 as an import. Of course, don't take my internet gibberish as gospel but do your research with the correct agencies in your state before parting with your money.
