Eric, what's wrong with your current front driveshaft?

If it needs to be rebuilt, could you take your current one off, and have a shop rebuild it. Get it back rebuilt and good as new.

Or are you just looking for a spare?

I will look into my pile of spares, and think may have one for a D2 stock driveshaft

I've had a noise I've been chasing noise for a while, I rebuilt it about a thousand miles ago, and my noise has gotten worse. Took it to the place where I had it balanced and he put it on the rack and checked it out. Its either the center ball, which is no big deal or the piece that the center ball attaches to which would be that half of the shaft. So I'm looking at about 135 to 250 to rebuild mine. I called about a Tom Wood for 364 shipped. If I don't go with the Tom Wood I need to find a doner to rebulid.

centering ball and H member are a big deal on these...thats what fails when they let go and take the trans with them.

Thats why I'm looking for another, don't know which is bad so preparing for the worst.

The easy fix is also the best fix...call Tom Wood and replace the shaft.

The penalty of having it explode and take out the trans is just too high IMHO to try and nurse a stock shaft along with fresh joints and a centering kit.
