Eighty Cent Motorcycle Cover on EBay

Too funny. So I've got the new Buell home and go looking for a cover for it. On EBay I find a number of covers with no bids on them starting at .80¢. A couple of them have only an hour to go so I bid a max of $5. and GET the cover for the starting .80¢, plus shipping to Canada of $14. I'm fully expecting a large garbage bag to show up but curiousity got the best of me with a chuckle.

I'll report back on what arrives at my door.

Here's another one with two days to go also sitting at .80¢

Some sellers will charge almost nothing for the item and hit the buyer for a higher-than-normal shipping charge as a way of avoiding eBay seller fees. Quite common on cheap electronic items.

Thanks for the tip, I just won one for $1.25 plus $16 shipping. Under $20 for a dust cover is fine with me. If it better than expected (water resistant) I will consider it a blessing.

Heck, I spent more than that on Chinese food a couple of days ago... :chef:

Mine cost .90 got it a while back not bad for the price not sure it would be water proof in a rain storm but a heavy dew would be repelled. And dust is not a problem got mine for the softtail just does fit but is not really a problem to get it on and really nice to pack back in a small package. For less than a dollar and 14 dollars shipping it is dandy to have something that is a small package and will at least deflect the worst of the elements.

Good to know Curt. Thanks. I wasn't expecting much and just found the whole deal humorous. I've been away from riding for 3 years and the last cover I bought MANY years ago was some $150. Nice cover granted, but the new machine is indoors and might be outdoors 20 or 25 nights a year on the road. For less than $16. with shipping after converting to CDN funds I figured it was worth the Ebay adventure for the laugh factor alone.

I received my cover and it's amazing for the price. I would never put it on a hot bike but it's even elasticized at the bottom with built in bungee extensions with plastic hooks to keep it in place in the wind. The storage bag even has a closing draw cord. Amazing.
