Eye-Fi just announced a new SDHC card that doubles the capacity of the
WiFi-enabled card to 8GB. Price of the Pro X2 is $149, which is the same as the price they used to charge for the 4GB Eye-Fi.

The Pro X2 includes Class 6 speed, Endless Memory mode (in which the card clears its memory after transmitting the image or movie to the designated server), and 802.n Wi-Fi compatibility.

Why use a Wi-Fi equipped memory card? The card can connect to your nearby computer and upload images to your computer as you shoot them.

You may not care about the automatic upload if you're a casual snapper, but professionals can save meaningful amounts of time by uploading as they shoot.

Or it can connect via a wireless router to a web site like Flickr, Picasa or Facebook and automatically post your shots online. If you've got a "personal area network" device in your pocket, like a Verizon MiFi, you can upload to Facebook as you walk around.

Do they offer a CF version of this? None of the pro camera's I've used have had an SD slot.:sombrero:
