Does it exist!?!?

I'm looking for a small point and shoot style camera, that still has some of the features of a DSLR camera, can't be bigger than say an Iphone.

Where should I start?

Well, IMO start by telling us what features of "similar to DSLR" that interest you.

My point and shoot is a Canon Elph 790is. I still get the 10MP images (IMO, not as much clarity as the ESO40d) but I also get the portability of it and the video option which is surprisingly good.

I would get some version of the Canon Elph if I had to do it over. I haven't researched them since last year.

To be honest, I have gone back to the 790is over the 40d more times than I care to admit.

RAW is pretty limited in lower end cameras. Usually when to get to a P&S that shoots manual and RAW you could a DSLR for comparable. If the P&S is the way you want to go though - that really doesn't matter.

I find the small digital cameras lacking a viewfinder of any kind to be a PITA most of the time. I looked at the Olympus for its dust and moisture/weatherproof construction but, again, without even a small window to look through for framing it makes it frustrating for most outdoor shots.

The camera companies will figure it out one of these years!
