Sankey Trailer -San Diego

*Unknown year, after conversing with some friends across the pond it appears to be an early model.

It is an early one, no drop down tailgate. Looks like a narrowtrack. Our military used these with series vehicles. The axle is narrower to track the same as a series, it would struggle in ruts behind a Defender. The later widetracks (with dropdown tailgate) are better suited for these.

Also note the need for a Nato hitch (unless converted) Imagine they are hard to find out there :Wow1:

I will be selling my 2a lightweight next year and buying a sankey to convert for an overland trip, so will be back here picking all of your brains on design ideas etc. :wings:

It is an early model but don't be put off by the "NATO" hitch. It's a normal lunette and attaches to a readily available pintle hitch.

Still looking to get down to see this trailer. Aren't going to be in OC anytime soon? :)

Any other trades interested in?

nice. good luck selling. I could probably get into trailering with a cool setup like that.

no cash for it, though.

Thanks Jon! Good luck.
It is good to see the trailer behind a Land Rover, especially one as nice as yours...
