Very cool looking trailer, never seen anything like that before should have alot of potential for you. Will be intresting to see how you get a RTT mounted on it, have fun building it up!

Thanks guys. Very rare trailer indeed in the States. I hope I do not have a problem registering it but that is just a risk I have taken. It should be no problem as its basically an inspection that is has to go through and the trailer has hydraulic brakes which is basically what the inspection entails if I am correct on this subject.

wow what a great find:wings:
unless the box on top is to high for rtt, it would make good storage for :high lift jack..traction mats.. poles for awning/rainfly. love the kitchen idea:chef::coffeedrink:

Cool trailer. And then there is the rear end of a Series 109 and the front of an MB. All your toys?

I agree on the storage on top. I was actually thinking of utilizing that area too but I might remove it and make a different one. Again I do not think I will be making any decisions until I pick it up but the idea of storing items up there is really tempting to me as well but I must consider not to make it top heavy. I will be making some cardboard mock ups of of the top when I get the trailer. In the meantime I will be putting it on paper.

Yeah that roof top tent will be a challenge. As an Designer and my employment status I need a good challenge. Challenges like this is what keeps me going.

I will most likely be using aluminum for the roof top tent's platform. Does anyone local to SoCal know aluminum welding?

Can't wait to get the trailer to it's new home.

I saw that same trailer or one just like it for sale on ebay. I didn't pounce because I thought that it wouldn't be the greatest base for a RTT. Other than for that it is a cool trailer, albeit a bit heavy. I'll be curious to see how you alter it.

Cheers,
Greg

I hope you can manage to just "add" to it without cutting it up to make it suit your needs. Would be a shame to lose the integrity of such a rare and original trailer. That may be a suitable "challenge" for your design skills! :sombrero:

Good luck with it.
