2005-2010 Tacoma wheel backspacing & axle width?

Hey there, Tacoma guys. I'm building an expedition trailer using an '05 Tacoma bed, and wanted to find out what the following dimensions to help me plan my axle width:

• Axle width (WMS-to-WMS)
• OEM wheel backspacing

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Which OEM wheels? The TRD sport vs offroad vs SR5 have different backspacing. I BELIEVE the numbers are as follows:

Offroad: 5.25

Sport: 5.5

Base: 5.25

Trail Team: 4.5

Sorry I am not sure about the axle width though.

Either one would be easy to measure with the wheels off of the axle.

Thanks barlowrs. That should be close enough. I believe the Jeep Ravine wheels I'll be using are around 5.25", as well (I'll measure tonight).

Either one would be easy to measure with the wheels off of the axle.

I don't own a Tacoma, actually. All I have is the bare truck bed. The dealership may frown on me yanking the wheels off a Taco to grab the axle width. :sombrero:

Does anyone know the rear axle measurment?

Looks like it is 60" at WMS.

Ok, I crawled under the truck after work and measured from WMS on each side to the center of the diff fill plug. I came up with 35" from the driver's side to the plug and 31-1/2" from the passenger side to the plug. That gives you 66-1/2" total. Glad I measured instead of going off of what I found on the interwebz.
